2021 –

January:  2021 began as a non-event as the Covid-10 epidemic continued its course and I continued to work with wood in the appliance room workshop on Mike Pekovich’s Hanging Wall Cabinet.  Other than a couple of dentist appointments and a visit to the State emissions testing site, everything else centered in and about our condo.

February:  Visits to the Eye Doctor, Dentist and Cardiologist were the highlights.

March:  On March 7, Joni received her first Pfizer vaccination for Covid-19 at JHU Outpatient Clinic.. This signaled a start to the long-awaited recovery and a semi-return to normalcy.  Additional visits to doctors continued and not much else.  On the 28th Joni received her second Pfizer vax.   Fred had yet found an appointment time.  Carol Kummer helped to find a location availability and to setup an appointment for Fred.

April:  On April 5, Fred received his first Moderna vaccination for Covid-19 at a CVS pharmacy.  Having to replace our water heater was an unexpected event.   On the 25th Lisa, Rob and Tiki met us at Tavola in Little Italy to celebrate Fred’s birthday; our first restaurant visit in well over a year.

May:  Fred received his second Moderna vaccination on the 4th and the Baltimore County Department of Aging announced protocols for return to BC Senior Centers.  As a volunteer, Fred attended an early orientation and membership renewal session.   Joni had renew at the Cockeysville Center SC on the 20th.  The next day, Carol and Robbin Kummer hosted a garden get-together at “the farm.”  On the 25th, the Bykota center reopened and Fred was delighted to begin his position as the person-in-charge of the Wood Shop, a volunteer position he had looked forward to ever since the center’s closing on March 13, 2020.

June:  The calendar began to change as activities picked-up and a return to normalcy continued with long awaited visits from family and friends.
